The ring crank is mounted in the frame by ball bearings. A special carbon construction guides chain and cables through the frame.

NEO GRAMOPHONE BY KINKYFORM

without comments

met_neo_gramophone

via:kinkyform.com

This Neo Gramophone is the image, simplicity and feeling of a traditional gramophone transported in the 21st century.

To transport those memories into our time this new gramophone got first stripped from it’s known featured and got invented completely new. The clean abstract shape, reminding of a growing polygonal plant, has the looks of an object from the future but is still containing the basic optical structure of a traditional gramophone, which combines old and new in a charming way. High quality materials help to keep the once hand-made character of the gramophone alive.

Playing vinyl back in the days the gramophone is now able to play your personal musical selection via streaming directly from itunes or directly by loading music on it via bluetooth. A simple subsurface menu (reacts upon touching the menu area) provides easy playing, simple usage like the traditional gramophone. Clean and perfect sound is a must today so the inside of the neo-gramophone features multiple speakers and a subwoofer with the horn as the bass-reflex tube.

Coolest Hanger Wha?????

without comments

(This design for sixxis, is representing the five fashion of the world)

sixixis create unique and exciting pieces using local unseasoned timber. Combining our passions for Art and Design with our own innovative steam bending equipment and techniques, we are able to create seemingly impossible pieces of work out of solid hardwoods such as Oak and Ash.
We only make very limited numbers of their products as each product demands the highest of quality and attention to detail. This quality and detail combined with our high environmental and ethical standards have forged a new way forward in the boundaries between contemporary Art, Design and Craftsmanship.

As an artist uses a pencil we steam bend wood to express and encapsulate ideas and ways of thinking into solid objects. Our work now has become more than just expressive demonstrations of what is achievable using steam and wood, which has grown on your doorstep. It consists of carefully considered pieces designed around contemporary issues and questions that we strive to address through our work. Inspiration for the work comes from life, our world and how we see it. With the progression of our ways of thinking the methods we use with the material change and evolve. Combining other processes and materials with wood gives us total freedom in what we do, without the loss of the core integrity of the work.

The Worlds Biggest Camera

You can  find this at an exhibition( didn’t say where) Pretty tight tho. You can take actual pictures of the room and such.. pretty neat for inspiring photographers, it would be a bitch to carry, if cannon f-1 was sold  in actual stores.

Hugo P: Art x Photo

without comments

Hugo, O  does not consider himself to be a photographer, but a guy who captures  all the memorable scenes and motions of life, which we sometimes forget to take a deep breath. A standing  potrait  of the beauties  of nature  and the advancement of technology in the new age. Much of the flicks are taken in the streets of Hong Kong. Hugo, P captures the essence of an amazing city, and the continually of world as it stand still.

Banksy

with one comment

http://www.banksy.co.uk

Warning: the interpretation of the these pieces are not from banksy himself. they are in my own words. read with caution.

I know some of you might take offense , but really try to understand where he is coming from. The first piece is not making fun of fat people. The seven year old boy works 12/hr a day, so he can feed his family, and his carrying the weight for corporations in the restaurant business. While we feast on our Big Macs, and Burger King, our government /corporation company exploit these children under the age of 16, get less than a buck.

The second piece says ” take this society” a young woman rebelling against society, painting on public buildings, voicing her expression.Society has taught us a thing a two, and many of us fall into the trap of living up the expectation, and are afraid to speak because the media outlet has brainwashed many of youth.

The third one is my favorite piece. The three school kids raising up the tesco flag, saying the pledge of allegiance , and if you pay close attention to the little boy and girls facial expressions. The boy look angry, and pumps his chest , he’s a bit older than the girl– the little girl , isn’t reciting, the pledge, she’s seems disinterested , and doesn’t know the words to the song. Ass for the boy hanging up or hanging down the flag, he’s pulling the string , while the wind is blowing on the flag,it seems as if the little children want the flag to come down, because their forced to look at it everyday.

I had to google “TESCO” its a British based international grocery and general merchandising retail chain ( i’m writing this as I go) I believe the kids took down the British flag, and replaced it with the tesco flag that resembles their flag colors, and mocks the British flag, by replacing it with a tesco grocery flag.

Art: Drawing Ape

without comments

There’s a difference between drawing and being creative, James Grady is a prime example, the 20- year motor city native art speaks volume and breathes live, beauty is the eye of the beholder , take the time and ask, what the true meaning behind beauty is as you look at painting, don’t assume, assumptions never lead you to a narrow path.

For more info about the “drawing ape” go to his blog : http://www.digitalape.blogspot.com
